1. Vânători de munte (Mountaineers)
The Vânători de munte are the elite mountain troops of the Laywenranian Ground Forces.
History
The Vânători de munte can follow their traces back to Light Hunter Corps formed during the Independence War. The Vânători de munte were formally established in 1925 as Mountaineer Corps. They participated in the fights of the Third Cataclsym.
Today
They are currently two active regiments, one in each military district.

-mortar company (12 LSPzV M with 120 mm mortars)
-anti-tank company (6 LSPzV PA with 8 ATGM PPALR P)
Equipment
While the Vânători de munte generally carry the same equipment as the regular troops, one notable exception is the LSPzV. The LSPzV is an IFV specifically built after the requirements of the Vânători de munte.
